This way, it will prevent you from going behind her back to let her spouse know about the affair. Additionally, you can make her realize that you are probably not the only person who knows about the affair and encourage her to talk to her husband before someone else does.
If this isn’t an option, you need to proceed with caution when talking to her husband. Respect is essential because this is a very delicate situation. You should not embarrass him by any means, which is why you should ask to talk to him in private. You are going to want to give him the news in as gentle a way as possible, as this will help him come to terms with the news the best. If he knows you are only trying to be helpful, you will have much more success with breaking the news than otherwise.
